Above all things, truth. Not belief, not faith, not religion, not god nor gods, not patriotism, not ideology, not hopes, not dreams, not reward, not comfort, but truth….for better or for worse, truth. That's what I blog about.

Word Hurt Trump Feelings. Bad!
It’s hard to accept that,
here in the 21st century; the United States has as its president,
the most ignorant, self-centered, and petulant being to ever attain high office,
but it’s what we actually have. Trump doesn’t understand how government works,
he doesn’t understand how international treaties work, he doesn’t know what an
autonomous body is, he thinks just flashing a large amount of cash around solves
anything, he is constantly astounded when people don’t take him seriously, and even
more frequently angered when people prove to be smarter than him. It has this effect on him...
Donald Trump abruptly canceled
a long-planned meeting with the government of Denmark and is now belittling as
“nasty” and holding a grudge against Mette Frederiksen the Danish Prime
Minister because she called his idea of buying Greenland from Denmark absurd. Never
mind that it can’t be done. Never mind that no one mentioned any of this to the
Danes or Greenlanders first. Never mind that the people of Greenland have their
own voices. Never mind that Trump can’t even take care of Puerto Rico, a much
smaller island. Never mind that Trump thinks in such simplistic terms. What he is
mad about is because she used a big word he didn’t know and he had to look it
up. He didn’t like the sound of the word but he didn’t know what it meant.
And that made him do something he hates, learn a fact. Trump prefers to just go
with whatever he thinks up so realizing someone used a word he was unfamiliar
with forced him to abandon his safe space to look up something new and different.
It’s work. And Trump hates work.
Because Ms. Fredericksen wouldn't just agree to whatever he wanted, Trump projected onto her
the biggest most derogatory word he could think of at a moment’s notice. It's a word Trump uses primarily when describing women who stand up to him and defy him. That word is nasty. She was describing Trump's idea as being absurd, not him. And at no time did she indicate the word applied to the United States. Yet Trump claimed she did and she can't call the country that. Trump conflates himself with the nation. Trump = America.
The whole situation, which Trump started, is absurd.
Actually, absurd is a president who is proudly ignorant, self-centered, gullible, incompetent, dishonest, and demonstrates to the world he thinks like a petulant five-year-old.

Trump's Rhetoric is Getting People Killed
Given the two recent mass
shootings on August 3rd in El Paso and August 4th in Dayton
(although Trump didn’t pay attention when
he was told about it so he said it happened in Toledo), Trump was asked by
a reporter outside the White House if in light of these attacks he thought his
rhetoric was divisive. Trump immediately claimed “No” that his rhetoric brings
people together.
In a way, his rhetoric does bring
elements together - El Paso shooter Patrick Crusius wrote in his online posting
that he viewed Hispanics in El Paso as invaders because that’s what Trump and his supporting far-right mouthpieces have been calling immigrants for the last four years. So Trump helped him bring together his intended targets, his loaded automatic weapon, his disgust with Latinos, and the motivation to kill. In the case of
Dayton shooter Connor Betts, he was motivated by extreme misogyny.
He had a pathological hatred of women, even making out a rape list while he was
in high school and later a kill list. On August 4th, he felt he no longer
needed to restrain himself. Why should he when we have a president who said of
women that he could do whatever he wanted, grab ‘em by the pussy…? When the
president, now married to a third
wife yet was also having an affair with an adult film star and a Playboy model
at the same time, shows no more regard for women than that, Connor Betts
decided he didn’t need to show them any regard either. Betts was mad at the
world - and the misogynistic man who admitted on tape to acting on his impulses, well, he got elected president – so Betts acted on his.
But Trump is 100% right in
that his rhetoric brings people together - the people who think just like
Trump. The dishonest, scheming, racist, narrow-minded bigots who think only
white people should have rights of any kind in this country. Trump’s verbal
attacks on non-whites and/or non-christians bring out the worst in people who
think like him. They now feel emboldened to say and do things like Trump suggests.
If some of that leads to killing those that Trump railed about as invading our
country, well that’s the price we pay for the freedoms guaranteed by the First
and Second Amendments. Trump supporters just wish the media would stop reporting it. That, to them, is the problem. There’s too much attention paid to the negative
things Trump says and does. Why can’t the media just ignore all that? They
approve of the torturing and deaths of little children by ICE agents, by Border Patrol, and
DHS. It doesn’t trouble them any more than it troubles Trump so talking about
how cruel and un-American it is is a waste of time. Their attitude is “I don't care” because they know Trump doesn't care.
This is what we are up
against. The people who defend Donald Trump may not have his wealth and power
but they damn sure share his ideas. That includes the evangelicals
who defend whatever Trump does by claiming he was anointed by God so who are we
to judge. There are even profits...er, prophets…who claim the God of the bible
told them Donald Trump was going to be president and you can read about it by buying their book which has been mass-marketed at evangelical churches since 2015. Those
evangelicals are required by God to do all they can to protect Trump as
president, even when he repeatedly says and does un-godly things. They have sold
their souls to defend Donald Trump but deflect attention from it by claiming it
is the forces of darkness (Satan, demons, the Deep State, the Never-Trumpers, the
Democrats, liberals…) who are trying to usurp God’s chosen one by unconstitutionally taking the presidency away from Trump. It doesn’t matter if he colluded with the
Russians, or that he obstructed justice, or that he treats women badly, they
want everyone to acknowledge that Trump was hand-picked by God…their God…the
God of the Protestant (preferable King James) Bible. If the Russians helped get
Trump elected, it’s because God wanted it that way.
It has come down to the
people who carry a bible also carry a torch for Trump. They make up about 30%
of the population. There is another 5% that claim they are ambivalent about
Trump.
The other 65% of us are the
people who oppose what Trump is doing to our country and to the image of the United
States around the world. When Trump’s actions and language encourage a shooting
gallery type atmosphere, travel to this country from anywhere will dry up. When
he encourages the use of torture by terrorizing little kids in order to stop
their parents from seeking amnesty, looking for safety or work in this country, no one will want to come
here anymore. Is that what Trump thinks is best for the United States, complete ostracization from the world? At the rate people are being gunned down from sea to shining sea, most
countries prudently list the U.S. as a rather dangerous place in which to travel and the Travel and Tourism Advisory Board reported that from 2018 to 2019 there had been a 17% drop in people seeking to vacation in the U.S. Get ready for that number to plunge dramtically this year.
And it’s Trump’s rhetoric that
is accelerating people getting murdered. His words have definitely brought
people together: the most violent white people imaginable doing the most violent things
imaginable in the most violent way imaginable, and it nurtures an atmosphere
of hatred where those violent people cause battlefield-type casualties because
the president uses battlefield-type language to describe people he just doesn’t like. Yet Cabinet members are still too afraid to confront Trump, even though his rhetoric and inflammatory language are being quoted by mass murderers because those cabinet members have deluded themselves into thinking Trump hasn’t really done enough to warrant
removal from office. So more Americans must needlessly die thanks to cowards in high places.

Fake it 'til you break it -- A False Presidency and a Fantasy Wall
Now that the Supreme Court has determined that Mexico - as in “Mexico
will pay for the wall” - is located in the Defense Department’s budget, it’s
time to consider Trump’s “wall.”
Trump's wall is as fake as his understanding of the presidency.
His wall is as fake as his marriages.
His wall is as fake as his love for Don Junior, Eric,
Tiffany, and Barron.
His wall is as fake as his comb-over.
His wall is as fake as his conservatism.

Angela Merkel's Reaction to Trump's Latest Rant
Just imagine if this happened as the world responds
to America’s Buffoon-in-Chief.
Former British Prime Minister Theresa May called
Donald Trump’s tweets against U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar “completely unacceptable.” Incoming Prime Minister Boris Johnson echoed May’s sentiment that this is not how
world leaders act with his own observation that “If you are the leader of a
great multiracial, multicultural society, you simply cannot use that kind of
language.” UK Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn brooked no semantic games and straight-up called Trump a racist.
Canada’s Justin Trudeau told reporters “That’s not how we do things in Canada.”
Many more voices were raised against Trump’s screed, from New Zealand Prime
Minister Jacinda Ardern, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, and the
European Council. Every day more world leaders express their revulsion over Trump's remarks.
Now German Chancellor Angela Merkel has become
the latest to condemn Donald Trump for tweeting and then telling four
young Democratic Congresswomen to “go back to your country” while tacitly
approving of his sycophants at a Greenville, NC rally to chant “send her back”
for a full 15 seconds. Merkel revealed she opposed the sentiments…but for an entirely
different reason.
“No, this needs to stop,” Merkel said outside
the German Chancellory, “there should be no more of this sending them
back talk. Do you realize that if this spreads, those opposed to Trump will
demand he go back to where his family is from? I know he told reporters that
his father was from Germany, but this is Donald Trump. He lies. His father was
born in New York so that is where he should go back to. His grandfather
Friedrich Drumpf, however, was born in Kallstadt, Bavaria in 1869. That means people might start demanding that Trump be sent back here.”
At this point, a look of disgust swept
over Ms. Merkel’s face. She then shook violently, took a deep breath, and
almost hissed “We don’t want him here. The German people do not want to have any
association with Donald Trump. That would be an additional disaster for us to
have to contend with. Our past is tainted by tyrants. We have been bled to death by the decisions of those men. But now we are a peaceful country. We have
learned to live with others on this planet. We don’t need Trump’s divisiveness,
empty promises, and self-centeredness. Donald Trump is America’s problem.”
Just imagine if it was possible to
send Trump back to Germany like he thinks those four Congresswomen should go
back to the country their ancestors left. What kind of chaos would ensue? While I don’t know about conditions
in the various countries where the four women’s ancestors lived I would bet
that any of them would be welcomed by the people of that country as well as
they are welcomed by the constituents they represent in their home states. But the
Germans clearly no more want Trump in their country than a majority of Americans want him here. We have to get
him out of office, arrest him, try him for the crimes he has already admitted to, and see to it he spends the rest of his life in an orange jumpsuit behind bars. His wealth and power do not put him above the law and they are not "get out of jail free" cards.
Angela Merkel would be right. Only Americans
can do anything about a president who defies our courts, who replaces people
around him with only “yes-men” and “yes-women” to provide cover for him while
he enriches himself at our expense, who lies
about anything as he goes along, who approves of foreign leaders killing
Americans or legal residents of the U.S., who was having sex with an adult film
star and a Playboy model a year after marrying his third wife and just after
the birth of his fifth child then covered it up with Michael Cohen’s help in
order to get elected, and a man who is laughed at and denigrated by the rest of
the world as confirmed by the former UK ambassador’s private email exchanges,
and at the UN last September. That is why we have the 25th amendment, to remove a person who has proven to be morally and mentally unfit to hold the office of President of the United States.

Celebrating our Independence?
The Republican Party has sold out the nation to Russia. Our
own intelligence agencies, as well as our foreign intelligence friends, were
warning us the Russians were interfering in the 2016 election. The Mueller Report
confirmed this. Donald Trump became president thanks to Russian meddling.
How clearly does that have to be stated to anyone?
Here’s the thing; Donald Trump doesn’t care how this looks.
He doesn’t care if there was collusion or obstruction. As long as it got Trump
what he wanted, it was okay. He admits it in his line of tweets like “…I
had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected.” This is called an Excited Utterance which the Federal Rules of Evidence say is admissible in court. Trump is admitting he knew they were doing it but he doesn't see anything wrong with it.
The Republicans, the nation, even the Constitution mean
nothing to him. Power and the unbridled capacity to enrich himself with it is
the only thing that matters.
Yet the GOP still defends whatever Kremlin-asset Donald Trump
does without question. This is the very definition of treason against the
United States.
But by all means, enjoy Trump’s overpriced Fourth of July martial
spectacle celebrating our “independence.”

The Swarm
Maybe Donald Trump’s anger
is justified, or at least understandable in a primitive, insect kind of way. He
is accused of covering up his misconduct…but he doesn’t recognize his bumbling
actions, his threats and distractions as a cover-up anymore than a bug
considers the consequences of eating a field of a human’s crops. To Trump, he
is being himself because we all knew he was a coward, a con-man, a bully, a liar, and a
tax cheat when he was running for the presidency. He figures since we knew what
we were getting, why are we surprised? He doesn’t understand our anger and
disgust because he’s still the cowardly, bullying, lying, cheating, con-man who got
elected for at least a four-year term thanks to Russian interference (he even
tweeted his admission that they did, it's just that he wasn't involved), so what right does anyone have to
complain?
Trump’s supporters got exactly
what they wanted; an unbridled wrecking ball who would shake things up in Washington.
The first few weeks of his presidency when he started to display gross incompetence,
those supporters and his cheerleaders in the GOP insisted that Trump would
eventually “grow into the job.” No, of course, they didn’t expect him to make
enemies with the world, threaten war against North Korea, Venezuela, Mexico,
Iran, expand fighting in Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Niger, Yemen, ram through
a massive tax cut bill that primarily rewarded him and his billionaire friends,
renege on his promise that manufacturers like Carrier, Ford, and Harley
Davidson would stay open and expand when all three companies have laid off
their workforce and closed down or moved operations overseas, initiate a trade
war with China, Mexico, Canada, the European Union, and other trading partners. But they crossed their fingers and hoped he could somehow look presidential while still "being Trump."
Trump takes his job so
seriously that the “I-won’t-have-time-for-golf president has spent fully one-fourth of his time in office at one of his resorts or golf courses…usually playing
golf. We the taxpayers have had to pick up the bill for over $100 million to
provide security for him at his own golf courses…you know, those places he mentions at
his rallies that make him a billionaire. But his supporters did expect him to
be different. Vive la difference,
huh?
They look around and gasp “but
what about our economy, look at all the new jobs, the low unemployment numbers,
a booming stock market...that has to be Trump's doing. Yes. Look at all those - but peek behind the curtain to
see what is really happening. Bloomberg, MarketWatch, and even the Wall Street
Journal admit that Trump’s massive tax cut bill in December 2017 hasn’t done anything
the Trump administration predicted it would. The nonpartisan Congressional Research
Service confirms it has had no effect on the economy, other than driving the federal
deficit $2 trillion further in the hole. Are prices coming down? No. Are jobs
paying more? Only a few of the high tech, limited access jobs. Low-income job
numbers have risen but not the pay. If you’re in the stock market, you’ve had a
hell of a roller coaster ride, which is not what the market is supposed to do,
but it has gone up in the past two years. However, a simple check of the Dow Jones
chart for the past 10 years will show that due to policies enacted by Obama,
there has been a steady bull market since 2010. When Obama left office, the
jobless rate had dropped to 5%. Under Trump, it has gone down to 3.8. How has
that 1.2% drop improved things for you personally? The most honest answer I’ve
heard on that from a Trump supporter was “it makes Trump look good.” If that’s
your bar, then the bar is sitting flat on the ground.
The laughable part (if there
is anything to laugh about) is that all along the Republicans have kidded
themselves into thinking they could contain and control Trump and his horde.
They found out it is like trying to herd locust. That is a pretty good metaphor
for the Trump administration…a criminal enterprise that operates like a swarm
of locust. Locusts usually gorge themselves
on whatever is in front of them and to hell with anyone or anything else.
You can see Trump and his
hand-picked “best people” fit the locust comparison perfectly, like Elaine Chao, Alex Acosta, Michael Flynn,
Tom Price, Scott Pruitt, Ryan Zinke, Jeff Sessions, David Shulkin, Rex
Tillerson, Betsy DeVos, Ben Carson, Wilbur Ross, Steve Mnuchin, Rick Scott, Reince
Priebus, Kellyanne Conway, Kirstjen Neilsen, Rob Porter, John
Bolton, William Barr, just for starters. Plus, consider the people who have been
forced out or deserted this bizarre White House like rats abandoning a sinking
ship: John Kelly, H. R. McMaster, Jim Mattis, Gary Cohn, Nikki Haley, Don
McGahn, Rod Rosenstein…etc. How have they made anything great again when they leave their job
after only a year, or are forced out by the guy who said they were his best
people? Remember, the GOP supported and approved of every one of them.
What these human locusts amount
to are the flotsam and jetsam that stuck to the bottom of the hiring barrel and
had to be scraped out of the corner with a sharp stick in order to be
considered. Trump has filled up the Washington swamp with a massive swarm of locust,
because every one of these “acting directors,” Cabinet yes-men and yes-women serve
Trump and Trump only, not the American people. They are enriching themselves at our expense while they encourage, enable, and run
constant interference for Trump to cover up what he does. They know what he is
doing is wrong just as they know what they are doing is wrong. But Trump provides camouflage. And like a good cult leader, Trump has convinced not just his administration
but his supporters that they are not seeing the whole picture or the real world. Only Trump knows all and sees all. So they believe his lies and this helps them continue to support Trump
because who can now tell who is telling the truth anymore. They believe it is
better to simply support Trump and his lies than to search for the truth of a
story. That’s too much work.
Trump supporters, when did intelligence,
decency, and character in a president stop mattering to you? Why do you approve
of the Trump swarm picking America clean?

The Coward-in-Chief
President Trump, what are
you afraid of? You’ve weathered everything that would have put any other person
in prison or at least in serious legal jeopardy…debasing women by grabbing their genitals, traitorously siding with Putin
against the entire U.S. intelligence apparatus, paying off women you had
extra-marital affairs with in order to get elected, blurting out highly classified material, enriching
yourself at taxpayer’s expense, defending neo-Nazis, racists, and the KKK, praising the Saudi and North Korean murderers
of Americans, even hiring undocumented workers at your resorts, hotels and golf courses. Isn’t it clear you are above
the law? You’re untouchable and can do whatever you want because you get to
interpret the law and decide what to comply with.
But above and beyond all that, you're innocent, remember? You said so. Why would you even care if
Don McGahn, Hope Hicks, or Robert Mueller testifies before Congress? All they
can do is confirm that you are innocent - as you and William Barr claim the Mueller Report
concluded. They can prove to the world that you did nothing wrong. And all
those idiotic Democrats and Trump-haters will have to sit there with egg on their faces once you
let those people testify as to how Donald Trump has now been exonerated of all collusion and
obstruction charges. It will even play well with your base. They hurt when you hurt.
So man up, Trump. Only a loser, a coward,
or someone guilty would block testimony and evidence that clears their name once
and for all.

Trump's Rap Sheet
It would be easy to conclude
we have reached the end of the American experiment in self-government. Thanks
to Donald Trump we are now being manipulated by foreign powers and Trump is
playing along with them. He’s not colluding. He just doesn’t care how it looks
to anyone. It doesn’t matter if it’s Russia, or China, or Saudi Arabia...if it
is a benefit to Trump, then it is okay…whether it’s criminal conspiracy, emoluments
violations, obstruction of justice, not upholding the oath of office,
deliberately misleading people, repeatedly lying when the truth is more believable,
defending murderers because he makes lots of money off of the host country,
praising tyrants, denigrating allies, and declaring himself above the law.
This isn’t the stuff you’d
find on the resume of a great statesman. It’s the rap sheet of a criminal.
That’s what Trump’s presidency is…a criminal enterprise. And the GOP continues
to shield the head criminal against any and all justice. They willingly consent
to Trump slithering away from abiding by the law…this, from the “law-and-order”
party with the “law-and-order” president.
With his flouting of the
law, Trump has completed the divide in our country between the haves and the
have nots. He has successfully (along with Fox News, Infowars, and Breitbart help)
demonized anyone not a wealthy, white, Anglo-Saxon protestant. He is leading
the charge to return those particular people to their most privileged and
protected positions and is guaranteeing the nation’s laws will be perpetually
tilted in their favor. That’s what Trump really means when he blathers on about
his hat-selling “Make America Great Again” gimmick. It’s making whatever is
left of the United States great for Trump…and a few other billionaires.
The GOP is good with that.
Notice that they have made no attempt to curtail anything Trump does and in many
cases have acted as his cheerleader even while claiming to uphold and defend
the Constitution.
In the future, smarter but
more sinister men than Trump, will run for and attain office. They will use
Trump’s flouting of the law and circumventing established norms to do far more
damage than Trump was able to accomplish. They will be justified in everything
they do because Trump opened the way for them to take full advantage of the
presidency to enrich themselves at everyone else’s expense. The only reason
Trump hasn’t been that successful is because he doesn’t have the intelligence
for it. He can get by for a while on his bluster and bullshit, but it only goes so
far. It’s one thing to brag about having “street smarts” and quite another to
have gained an actual education and know how to use it. Even though he should be
referencing his Wharton education, he instead says he has street smarts. So I
hear him saying he has pretend smarts instead of real smarts. It shows in the
way he “governs.” A more intellectually inclined criminal will be able to
leapfrog passed Trump’s kindergarten-like attempts when they hold the reins of
power. Trump has now made that not just possible, but probable.
Make no mistake regarding
Trump and Russia; wittingly or unwittingly, Trump is a Russian asset. He is in office because of Putin's interference. He even acknowledged the Russian meddling in a speech before live cameras on January 9, 2017, eleven days before he was sworn in. Trump has
betrayed us to a foreign power for his own selfish financial interests and we
will be severely tested over letting him hold the power of the U.S. in those
miniature hands for four years.

U.S.Flag Sues Trump
In a surprise legal case submitted to the 9th Circuit Court this past weekend, the United States Flag
filed a criminal lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump alleging he molested her on numerous
occasions in front of live cameras and before huge audiences. The lawsuit
states the Flag repeatedly asked, even begged, the president to stop but he refused.
The Flag was explicit in
that she wanted no money. She just wanted Trump to keep his hands off of her.
She is asking that in order to drop the criminal charges, a lifetime restraining order must be enforced against Mr. Trump having contact with any U.S. flag.
Her lawsuit states she felt
used and violated by the president and that at no time has she ever given her consent
for him to hug her or even put his hands on her. She claims that without asking,
Trump would put his lips on her stars, wrap his arms around her, rub his chest
hard against her stripes, squeeze her suggestively in her most private creases
and on at least two occasions “dry humped” her on stage. She was mortified when
the audiences actually cheered louder and applauded Trump’s pornographic
display against the flag he claimed to so widely revere. The lawsuit points out
Trump’s blatant hypocrisy when he whines and complains about how unpatriotic it
was to see NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem - yet he thought
nothing of physically violating and then pretending to molest and have sex with
the Flag on stage with hundreds if not thousands watching.
Like at the recent CPAC
rally where Trump came out and grabbed the Flag right in the middle and would
not let go even as she loudly protested for him to stop. He held on to her in
what she describes as a humiliating embrace as the crowd gave him a standing
ovation, all while Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” played – and explicitly
at the line in the chorus about defending the flag. Trump was doing the exact opposite
of defending the flag, as numerous photos and videos prove.
Those who applauded this despicable
performance are the second-most vile and unpatriotic people this country has ever
produced…right after the first one…the person they were congratulating.

Trump Embarrasses the United States on the World Stage...Again
While in Hanoi with the world’s press gathered after the US-North Korea talks abruptly ended, Trump was asked about whether he spoke with Kim Jong Un about American Otto Warmbier who had been held for months by North Korea and was brutally tortured until he was comatose, then hurriedly released to the U.S. so he could die hours later at home.
Trump answered the reporter’s question by saying Kim “tells me he didn’t know about it and I will take him at his word.”
Trump could have made a statesman-like appeal to Kim and ask him to launch an investigation to find out who ordered and carried out Warmbier's torture - because who would have the nerve to do something that besmirched and sullied Kim's reputation and make him look like a blood-thirsty monster to the world rather than a great leader? Trump would have finally looked presidential with that one request. But Trump just doesn't have it in him.
Once he was safely back home where he thinks he can massage whatever message comes out and do his own damage control he reinvents the moment and claims it was a misunderstanding, tweeting “I never like being misinterpreted, but especially when it comes to Otto Warmbier and his great family. Remember, I got Otto out along with three others. The previous Administration did nothing, and he was taken on their watch. Of course I hold North Korea responsible…”
Trump didn't “get Otto out.” That's just Trump hyperbole. Only days before Warmbier died, panicky North Koreans contacted the U.S. and demanded they take the dying man off their hands. Trump didn't lift a finger. Trump also played the “blame Obama” card in his tweet - as though passing the buck to cover his own shortcomings in defending Kim's implication in murder is a rational and adult way to explain why Trump is not to blame, for anything. Trump ends the tweet almost in a whisper “Of course I hold North Korea responsible…”
Of course you do.
Yet when Trump had the opportunity to say that on the world stage he crumbled. He showed everyone his true colors; he defended the regime that killed Warmbier, and he actually used the world stage to praise that regime. What does that say about the United States with Donald Trump as our president?
Worldwide approval of U.S. leadership has already floundered and remains low after a dramatic drop during Trump's first year in office, while China's rating ticked up to its highest in almost a decade. That’s according to a new Gallup poll released Thursday, February 28th that measures how adults in 133 countries feel about the global leadership of countries like the U.S., China, Germany, and Russia. The low approval rating for the U.S. "suggests that the doubts sowed in Trump's first year about U.S. commitments abroad have taken root," it reads. "Russia is now on a more even level with the U.S." Trump is the reason we are at this new low point.
Trump has repeatedly embarrassed the U.S. on the world stage.
He shut down the U.S. government over Mexico not paying for his border wall. When that didn't work, he declared a National Emergency when there was no emergency at all, even according to his own military commanders. It was such a serious situation that, after declaring it, Trump spent the next three days playing golf at Mar-a-Lago.
In Helsinki he validated Vladimir Putin’s interference in the 2016 election…interference that got Trump into office. Trump used the same opportunity to defend Putin, taking his word over the entire U.S. intelligence apparatus. All the while Putin stood next to him and proudly boasted "Yes I did, yes I did" want Trump to win.

Trump validated Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ordering the execution of U.S. legal resident Jamal Khashoggi. What is one death when measured against the billions U.S. defense contractors, and real estate moguls like Trump, make off the Saudi government?
He defended as "fine people" racists, White Supremacists, and the KKK at the Charlottesville Virginia march even after a White Nationalist had killed a protester and injured 19 others.
He referred to African nations as “shithole” countries, just as he did with Haiti and El Salvador. Even after being told the correct pronunciation, he still repeatedly mispronounces Namibia as ‘Nambia’, Tanzania as 'Tan-Zay-nee-uh, Bhutan as “Button,” and Nepal as “Nipple.” He doesn’t understand that Colombia and Columbia are not the same things.
Trump was actually laughed at by the entire world…literally, on September 25, 2018, when he bragged about phony accomplishments before the U.N. General Assembly.
His administration still uses the terrorist tactic of ripping children away from parents who’ve crossed the border into the U.S. attempting to flee terror in their own country. Several of those kids have now died as a result of maltreatment while being held in U.S. government facilities. The Trump administration doesn’t care.
That is because Trump doesn’t care...about America or anything else. Trump only cares about Trump. The entire Trump presidency is one long get-rich-quick scheme.
We will pay for Trump’s enriching himself at our expense far into the future unless we use our Constitutional right to demand enactment of the 25th Amendment to remove him from office and indict him as soon as he steps outside the White House. He should face the consequences for his lifetime of unethical behavior, criminal activities, and treasonous actions taken as president.
For his massive corruption, dishonesty, deceit, fraud, sexual assaults, money laundering, numerous Emoluments violations just to name a few, Trump should become the first U.S. president to die in prison.
It will be cheaper for us.
